*** Annual Christmas Packing Party !!!

This year's Christmas packing party information

New export labeling regulations for overseas packages went into effect on Sept 2025. These new regulations have seriouly impacted the way HOME operates. The new process requires describing items in each box, looking up an Harmonized System code (aka "HS" code), looking up the "country of manufacture", weighing each item packed, determining the item cost and noting the number of items. Also, the total weight of all items packed must be the total weight of the box. All this information is then applied to the international customs shipping label (and reviewed by the carrier). This process makes having a large crowd of people weighing items, then packing and noting the required label information impractical.

Additionally, our list of items that we want to ship is being redefined, thus we currently cannot accept donations of "things" to ship.

At this time, HOME personnel are tirelessly working to come up with a comprehensive list of specific items to ship. Once we have this comprehensive list defined, it will be posted here on our HOME web site. We are also working on a new packing process where you may participate in a packing party. This will allow us to resume shipments of large numbers of care package to our troops in need. We plan to hold a public packing party in the late November or early December time frame to facilitate package shipments to be received before Christmas.
